A new home for British ice hockey coverage
Hi everyone!
Welcome to the first official post of Elite - a new home for coverage of British ice hockey.
As you’ll may or may not have figured out by the name, Elite solely covers the Elite Ice Hockey League and all that goes with that.
Allow us to explain exactly what we are and what we’ll do:
WHAT IS ELITE?
Elite is a thrice-weekly newsletter that covers the Elite League, as already explained with new posts every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7am.
Monday will recap the weekend’s action, pick out some talking points and get the vibe from around the country.
On Wednesday, we’ll discuss a hot topic to get you thinking to get us through the week.
Then on Friday, we’ll look ahead to the weekend and delve into some stats to preview one, maybe two of the biggest games coming up.
Of course, with the off season coming up, we’ll reduce to two a week and round up the news, particularly signing stories over the next few months.
CAN I SUBSCRIBE?
You can indeed. Simply click on the button near the top of the page with your email address and a new newsletter will drop into your inbox.
Your support will be greatly appreciated and there’s no money involved..at least for now, but if Elite takes off, it’s something we’ll look at later on.
WHY ARE YOU STARTING THIS NOW?
A fair question. As we write this, the final weekend of the regular season is coming up, but the plan is to get it up and running, get a regular format down and perhaps tweak things over the summer so it’s a bit more refined for the new season.
ANYTHING ELSE?
Firstly, we are not affiliated with the Elite League so it’s completely unofficial.
Plus, over time, we’ll get some interviews with the players and coaches, past and present, who have made this league what it is, get some memories and moments from them and really get an insight into life in this league.
WHEN IS THE FIRST POST COMING?
If you subscribe now, you can expect the first post on Wednesday 2nd April at 7am.
